There are five truths that a person must embrace to be certain that he or she has eternal life with God.
1. GOOD NEWS (GOSPEL)
The good news is that God loves you and wants to be with you now and forever. God created heaven to be your eternal home. However, not only does God want to spend eternity with you in Heaven–He wants to be with you NOW as well. He wants to live in you and give you a life of meaning and purpose.
Jesus said it this way, “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10
2. BAD NEWS
The bad news is that you and I have both failed to live up to God’s standard of perfection. This is called sin.
Because God is holy and without sin and we have sinned, a wall of separation has been placed between us and God and we have been cut off from a relationship with Him.
The Bible says, “…all have sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.” Romans 3:23
3. THE ANSWER
Because God does not want us to be separated from Him, He provided a way for the wall of sin to be removed. God sent His own Son, Jesus to take the punishment we deserved so that God’s justice would be served but our sins could be forgiven.
When Jesus was dying on the cross, one of the things he said was: “it is paid for.” This was because he was paying for your sins and mine.
The Bible says, “But God demonstrated his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
Through His death he purchased the gift of eternal life which he now offers to us.
4. THE DECISION
Although Jesus has purchased eternal life for us, there is something we must do. We must accept His gift.
A gift is not really a gift until it is received. You can only receive God’s gift of eternal life by placing your trust in Jesus alone as the payment for your sin.
The Bible says, “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.” John 1:12
When you turn away from your own ways and trust Him through a prayer of faith his death becomes the payment for your sin and you receive Him and His gift of eternal life.
5. THE PRAYER OF FAITH
If you are ready to turn away from your own ways and trust Jesus for this gift of eternal life, tell God by praying a prayer like this:
Dear Jesus, I know you love me and you want to be with me now and forever. I admit I have sinned and I know that my sins have separated me from you. I know you died on the cross to take my punishment and forgive my sins. I turn away from my ways and put my trust in you alone for my eternal life.
Congratulations! You are now a part of God’s forever family and the Bible says that you will never lose this gift of eternal life
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand My Father, who has given them to Me is greater than all.” John 10:28-29
Who We Are
We are a church in San Antonio, Texas that wants to lead people to a Christ-centered life. For people who are far away from God and those who have been in church their whole life, our desire is to be a church that is doing everything possible to glorify God and change the world. We strive to be a church full of grace and truth. We believe in second chances (and third and fourth and so on…). We are a church of imperfect people doing life together. Castle Hills is a warm, welcoming church where everyone is invited, included and important. We definitely believe there is a place for you at Castle Hills!
“Engaging people where they are with the gospel of Jesus Christ and leading them into lives of transformation.”
“As a local body of believers, we are called to bring every person in contact with the gospel of Jesus Christ and be used by God to be a part of their becoming more like Christ.”
We believe being Christ-Centered is seen through each of us growing in these areas...

Spurgeon “Every Christian is either a missionary or an imposter.”
Luke 19:10 "Jesus came to seek and to save that which is lost"
Matthew 28:18-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the Word...
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
Psalm 119:105 Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
Matthew 4:4 But he answered, “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Galatians 5:13 …Through love, serve one another
Romans 8:14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
What We Believe
We believe that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). These three are co-equal and are one God.
About The Bible
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were guided by the Holy Spirit to write every word of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error and is the basis for all Christian beliefs and behavior.
We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with Him, but all are alienated from that relationship through sin. As a result, man is totally incapable of a right relationship with God by his own effort.
We believe that God the Father sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for our sins and is the sole basis for our forgiveness. Therefore, salvation can only occur when people place their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for their sins. Once a person places their faith in Christ, the Holy Spirit lives within them to provide power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in daily life.
About Eternal Security
We believe that because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources and that He is the owner of all things. In scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving at least one-tenth of all God has so generously given to us. The Bible says, ”Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” (Malachi 3:10)
About World Evangelism
It is the duty and privilege of every believer to do all that is possible to make the gospel available to as many people as possible. Missionary effort begins at home, then spreads to the community, the city, the state, the nation, and the world. It is the personal duty of every child of God to constantly seek to win the lost to Christ. It is the corporate duty of the church to direct its energies to getting the gospel to the entire world in fulfillment of the Great Commission.
What is the Purpose of Baptism?
Through baptism, we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. It’s like saying to the Lord Jesus, “Your death is my death - I no longer have to die for my sins. Your life is my life - I now have your eternal life, and I will not die for my sins.” (Romans 3:23, 6:23, 10:13).
What is the Significance of Baptism?
Baptism is a symbol of a covenant and commitment, much like the wedding ring. This ring does not make a couple married; the ring is a symbol to others of the promise and covenant a person has made in his heart with Jesus.
Who should be baptized?
All those who have committed themselves to Jesus Christ as their Lord, by turning away from sin and trusting in Him, should be baptized. While babies may be dedicated to the Lord from birth (1 Samuel 1:21-24), baptism is reserved for believers. Once you have committed yourself to Jesus and acknowledge Him as Lord, you are ready for baptism.
Why Should I be baptized?
Jesus was baptized (Mark 1:9-11), and He commands all believers to follow His example (Matthew 28:19-20; 1 Peter 2:21). Baptism is an act of confession and identification with Christ.
How Should I be Baptized?
“Baptize” literally means to immerse or dunk. Baptism is to be done by immersion in water. Jesus was immersed (Matthew 3:13-17), the early Church immersed (Acts 2:41) and the New Testament teaches only baptism by immersion.
How do I Register for Baptism?
*If you have children younger than 11 years of age who have a desire to be baptized, please schedule an appointment with the Children’s Minister.
